Privacy First Architecture

1. Overview & Core Philosophy

Fovex ("we", "our", or "the app") is engineered with an uncompromising privacy-first design. We believe your reading habits, library, and books are deeply personal. Therefore, Fovex operates on a local-first principle: your documents never leave your device.

2. Document Security & Zero-Server Book Storage

When you import PDF or EPUB documents into Fovex:

• On-Device Encryption: All imported books are encrypted using industry-standard AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption and stored exclusively in your device's sandboxed local storage.
• Zero Cloud Uploads of Books: We do not operate any server that receives, parses, stores, or transmits your reading files. Deleting files from third-party storage or iOS Files will not affect your encrypted local library inside Fovex.
• Local RSVP Processing: Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) tokenization, word pacing, and reading metrics are calculated entirely on your device hardware (Apple Neural Engine / CPU).

3. Account & Authentication

Fovex supports authentication via Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In, orchestrated securely through Google Firebase Authentication:

• Sign in with Apple: We support Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, allowing you to use Fovex completely anonymously.
• Information Stored: We only store standard account identity tokens (User ID, email address, and name if provided) to authenticate your access and synchronize your subscription status.

4. Purchases & Subscriptions

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are securely processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and validated using RevenueCat. We never see, collect, or store your credit card or financial information. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction identifiers to ensure seamless unlock of Pro features across your devices.

5. Diagnostics & Analytics

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use third-party behavioral advertising SDKs. Aggregated, anonymized crash reports or performance metrics may be collected exclusively through Apple's opt-in App Store analytics to improve app stability.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times. You can delete individual books or wipe your local library directly from the app. You can also delete your account and associated authentication records at any time by contacting our support team.
